Many women are being moved to become mothers for children without parents; Something that is even more common during times of economic challenge and war; the realities of this involve a substantial financial investment and responsibility; whilst also caring for a child/children who have a higher level of need for care in their first years of transition.

How can we support more women to become mothers? And to be able to dedicate themselves/ourselves to this - as though it is our profession.

What can be more important a role in society than raising healthy, resilient children? And restoring the wellbeing of young girls - who will carry trauma in their bodies/systems that is passed on through her future childbearing?

This is a calling as elders to tend to the future of our children and our communities - to make a difference to them and to us.
